Connect EROAD to Claude Code
Add EROAD to Claude Code with one command: claude mcp add --transport http eroad https://eroadmcp.co.nz/mcp. Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, choose eroad and sign in with your email and a 6-digit code. After you approve, Claude Code can read your EROAD fleet data.
Before you start you need an EROAD account on a plan that includes API access (EROAD's Premium plan) and an API key created in MyEROAD. Here is how to create the key.
Add the server
claude mcp add --transport http eroad https://eroadmcp.co.nz/mcpAdd --scope user to make the server available in every project, instead of only the current one.
Steps
- Add the server. Run: claude mcp add --transport http eroad https://eroadmcp.co.nz/mcp
- Authenticate. Start Claude Code and run /mcp. Choose eroad and follow the sign-in in your browser.
- Sign in and approve. Enter your email, type the 6-digit code we send, and press Approve.
- Ask a question. Back in Claude Code, ask something like "Give me a morning fleet report".
Troubleshooting
/mcpshows the server as "needs authentication". That is normal on first use. Select it and finish the browser sign-in.- The browser did not open. Copy the URL Claude Code prints and open it yourself.
- You want to remove it. Run
claude mcp remove eroad.
