Connect EROAD to Claude

To connect EROAD to Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://eroadmcp.co.nz/mcp and press Connect. Claude opens our sign-in page, where you enter your email, type the 6-digit code we send, and press Approve. It takes about two minutes and works in both claude.ai and Claude Desktop.

Steps

1. Open Claude settings. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings and go to Connectors.
2. Add a custom connector. Choose "Add custom connector" and paste the server URL https://eroadmcp.co.nz/mcp.
3. Connect. Press Connect. Claude opens our sign-in page in a new window.
4. Sign in with your email. Enter your email address, then the 6-digit code we send you. There is no password.
5. Approve access. Review what Claude is asking for and press Approve. The window closes and Claude is connected.
6. Ask a question. Try "Where are all my trucks right now?" Claude will ask permission to use the tool the first time.

If you are on a Team or Enterprise plan

On Claude Team and Enterprise, custom connectors are usually controlled by an administrator. If you cannot see "Add custom connector", ask your Claude administrator to add the connector for the organisation, or to allow members to add their own. Each person still signs in with their own email and approves access separately.

Troubleshooting

• The sign-in window closed and nothing happened. Check that pop-ups are allowed for claude.ai, then press Connect again.
• Claude says it cannot reach the server. Make sure the URL ends in /mcp with no trailing slash.
• You are asked to pay before approving. That is the subscription step. Start the 3-day trial and you come straight back to the approval screen.
• Claude does not use the tools. Ask a clearly fleet-related question, for example "Use EROAD to tell me where my trucks are".
